Leilani and her peer support and sibling ʻIolani stay connected as artists through exchanging letters. It has become a way for Leilani to send her work somewhere outside of the facilities she stays out for safe keeping. For many years, each time she moved, all of her journals and drawings seemed to be swallowed up by the space she was in, and all of her early work was either lost, or destroyed by some of her family members. That cylcle has now ended. Below are images sent via USPS mail December of 2021.
